Lately I’ve talked about calibration in several areas. If you’re not in the loop, calibration is the relationship between a measurement compares with reality: the more accuracy, the better calibration.
One of the variables people have time estimating is time; how much time is invested in a particular task is particularly difficult to measure subjectively, because the perception of time varies depending on the interest we have on the activity.
There are many tools to keep track of what we do; I suggest you use some of those to make sure that you invest as much time in working, thinking, and enjoying yourself as you think you should.
Maybe you’ll find that you don’t give enough time to activities you deem important. This would be a sign that you need to change.
